Description
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and provide expert technical support and integration for Property Management Systems (PMS) like Yardi, Realpage, and Entrata. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless onboarding and integration of clients. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement changes and validate new features, ensuring platform compatibility and efficiency. Actively monitor Datadog dashboards to proactively address potential issues before they impact clients. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success, to solve complex technical problems.
Responsibilities
Technical Support and Integration:
Provide expert technical support and guidance to onboard and integrate clients with their Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Yardi, Realpage, and Entrata.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues, errors, or challenges that arise.
Platform Compatibility and Efficiency:
Collaborate with the engineering team to implement changes, updates, and configurations to ensure compatibility and efficiency with our platform.
Validate and test new features as part of the engineering team.
Monitoring and Proactive Issue Resolution:
Actively monitor the Datadog dashboard to identify and investigate errors, warnings, and anomalies related to Yardi, Realpage, and Entrata. Utilize insights from Datadog to proactively address potential issues before they impact clients.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Success to address complex technical issues and drive effective solutions.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Document and maintain thorough records of client interactions, technical issues, and resolutions to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Client Communication:
Provide proactive communication and updates to clients regarding the status of their technical issues and resolution timelines.
Industry Awareness:
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to property management systems and customer support.
Skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and support.
- Experience developing software in a production environment at scale.
- Familiarity with financial services, consumer finance, or fintech is a plus.
- Strong unit and integration test habits.
- Comfortable using AWS (or equivalent) and Terraform.
- Familiarity with third-party providers for payments, product servicing, decisioning, and systems of record is a plus.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a back-end or full-stack developer, proficient in producing and deploying quality code using Java.
- Working knowledge of one or more property management software solutions like Yardi, Realpage, Entrata.
- Strong SǪL skills, particularly with PostgreSǪL, including the ability to recognize and address potential performance issues and understanding the pros and cons of various access approaches.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with messaging architectures in Java, e.g. using AWS SNS, SǪS.
