Description
As a member of the Electrical Engineering Department, the Electrical Designer is responsible for interpreting job-related documentation, such as internal datasheets, P&ID, etc., and translating those requirements into an electrical drawing package for the Lead Electrical Engineer to review.
Responsibilities
- Review project P&ID and related sales documentation, such as customer specifications, internal datasheets, etc.
- Create an electrical package according to project details and requirements.
- Update existing electrical packages, such as ladder diagrams, loop diagrams, AC & DC distribution panels, schematic & wiring diagrams, as well as panel layouts and BOMs.
- Develop and maintain electrical standard drawings for the company product lines.
- Check drawing packages from other electrical Designers, electrical Engineers, and Process Engineers.
- Attend project meetings as required.
- Accuracy: Must meticulously review and create detailed electrical diagrams and documentation, ensuring all project requirements and specifications are accurately met.
- Analytical Thinking: Capable of identifying and addressing discrepancies or issues in drawings and documentation, and finding solutions to complex electrical design problems.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage multiple tasks, update electrical packages, and adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain well-organized records of electrical standard drawings, design changes, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (minimum).
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, BOMs, and P&IDs.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD Electrical (2+ years).
- Proficient in basic office software.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously..
- Relevant past experience in electrical design, but not in the field.
- Knowledge in thermal calculations and boiler design
