What qualifications, skills and experience required the Patient Access Supervisor to be successful in their role?
The Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant provides assist and supervision over daily operations and maintains workflow for assigned patient access system, such as registration, scheduling, pre-registration and switchboard for a department that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant provides quality assurance, training and education to patient access staff. The Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant manages staff schedules and expenses in accordance with budgetary expectations. Also the Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant communicates professionally when handling patient, provider or staff questions or concerns and demonstrates ability to lead and instruct staff according to supervisor instructions.
Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant Responsibilities:
- Coordinates, supervises and directs daily activities.
- Completes Quality Assurance reviews on assigned specialists and tracks errors for assigned specialists.
- Completes coaching sessions with all assigned specialists.
- Assists with entry and resolution of clinic and issue log.
- Evaluates procedures, resolves problems, implements changes to improve department operations, identifies and addresses areas requiring improvement.
Patient Access Supervisor Virtual Assistant Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Solid customer service experience.
- Works collaboratively with others, establishes credibility and rapport with leadership and employees across the business.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to think analytically and synthesize complex information.
- Experience interpreting prescriptions, compounding and dispensing medications in a retail setting.
- Proficient in word processing and database management software applications.
