The Quality Control Technician Assistant is responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards. The Quality Control Technician Assistant test products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels are met. The Quality Control Technician Assistant work on a variety of products, including cars, computers, and food. The majority of quality control technicians work in manufacturing. The Quality Control Technician Assistant perform quality control checks on company products to ensure they meet required safety and quality standards.

Quality Control Technician Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Clean, prepare the product.
  • Inspect the quality of material before and during production.
  • Ensure quality of final product.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
  • Report defective material or questionable condition to the department QC technician on duty
  • Contribute and adhere to safety and quality.
  • Communicate status of operation in a timely manner to the quality technician on duty including any safety and/or process problems.

Quality Control Technician Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with quality principles.
  • Solid experience testing product quality.
  • Hands-on experience with efficient preparation, execution, gathering/storing/interpreting relevant data; and preparing reports.
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
