The Technical Support Virtual Assistant is essentially an IT Business Partner who is the first point of contact for end-users. The Technical Support Virtual Assistant is responsible for providing customer service to the existing customers. As an Technical Support Virtual Assistant your focus is not just to resolve incidents, but to find the underlying problem and develop long term solutions. The Technical Support Virtual Assistant may also perform basic troubleshooting tasks and operating system support on Microsoft Windows OS, Mac OS X and network services. 

The Technical Support Virtual Assistant Responsibilities: 

  • Provide remote desktop support to clients.
  • Assist the main office with IT Project work on an as-needed basis
  • Assist on a rotational schedule to maintain the night on-call shift
  • Act as a second tier of escalation within the company for advanced technical problems

The Technical Support Virtual Assistant Requirements

  • University degree or diploma in Business Engineering, Electronics or Mechanics or similar
  • Experience in technical sales in the electronics market, preferably test & measurement
  • Performance driven and goal-oriented attitude
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in team but also to work independently
