The Accountant Associate Clerk in duties and responsibilities include reviewing invoices, audits, fund requests from various departments within the business, and financial records. The Accountant Associate Clerk also perform data entry and file accounting data from the different departments and analyze the information. The Accountant Associate Clerk also be responsible for checking the work of other accountants to ensure it is mathematically and factually accurate. As an associate accountant, you are required to follow all compliance laws. The Accountant Associate Clerk Accounts must do payment processing, bank deposit Also Accounts payable like bill entry, statement processing, disbursements and maintain accounting and bookkeeping activities.
Accountant Associate Clerk Responsibilities:
- Record transactions related to cash such as deposits, fund transfers, and miscellaneous activity.
- Participate in month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations of accounts.
- Set up accrual analysis files.
- Analyze large volumes of financial data in Excel to process applicable journal entries.
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze cash position report highlighting balances and fluctuations on a weekly basis.
- Troubleshoot third party payment platform data variances.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and related financial systems.
Accountant Associate Clerk Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field.
- Solid accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Excellent Excel experience.
- Knowledge of systems and processes related to treasury and financial management.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to research discrepancies and solve problems.
- Aptitude to analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
