The Junior Art Director assists, plans, and executes design projects and other creative materials. This can be for newsletters, websites, magazines, emails, ad campaigns, books, and advertisements. The Junior Art Director work closely with other designers to prepare materials for the senior art director who gives final approval. Other responsibilities for the Junior Art Director include creating layouts or giving presentations, discussing ideas or current projects with other departments to ensure quality production, training other team members on design concepts and branding. Also the Junior Art Director attend photoshoots and evaluate product needs, and oversee the printing of materials.
Junior Art Director Responsibilities:
- Helps perform research (general lit searches as well as specific topic research) via internet and other resources.
- Contributes innovative ideas appropriate to the client’s marketing strategy.
- Lead conceptual thinking and development of campaign work for sponsored partnership opportunities.
- Works with creative director, copywriter, designers, animators, coders, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional on-brand work that consistently meets or exceeds project goals
- Establish look/feel for channels including Broadcast, Digital, Social, Content, etc.
- Participates with creative and brand team to develop multiple concepts/campaigns for assigned products/projects.
- Perform basic layout in sketch and/or digital formats for assigned project.
Junior Art Director Requirements:
- Bachelor`s in advertising/visual communications, graphic design or related discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects/stakeholders, and quick deadlines.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience owning social campaigns.
